Hi, Guys! One Tuf Cookie here on Lifetime’s upcoming biopic on the legendary sultry songstress, Toni Braxton.

Toni Braxton is a Billboard, American Music Award & Grammy- winning R&B artist, songwriter & record producer best known for hits like “Breathe Again”, “Un-Break My Heart”, “Another Sad Love Song” & “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” just to name a few. The film is titled “Un-Break My Heart: The Toni Braxton Story” in reverence to her chart topping single of the same name. The film will shine a light on Braxton’s infamous financial troubles, struggles with Lupus, raising a son with special needs and her divorce.
The biopic is produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, and has contribution by Toni herself. Toni will be played by actress Lex Scott Davis, a relatively new face who has worked small roles in other films such as “ColorBlind” (2014) and a short film called “Two Strangers” (2014). She also worked as an extra in “Straight Outta Compton” (2015).
Tiffany Hines from the show “Stitchers” has been cast to play Toni’s youngest sister, Tamar and Skype P. Marshall will play Towanda. Debbie Morgan of the hit show “Power” will play Braxton’s mother, Evelyn. LaToya Franklyn will play Trina. “The Haves and the Have Nots” actor Gavin Houston, will play Braxton’s longtime friend Kenneth “Baby Face” Edmonds.
