Hey guys! One Tuf Cookie checking in and I hope you all are enjoying the summer! Especially you parents – the kids are home! So…more washing laundry, more folding laundry, more trips to the super market, more cooking, more cleaning, more play dates, more water, (ideally more naps- yeah, right), more ripping and running- more heat and more exhaustion! Geez! Congratulations on finding the time to read this post!
I know it’s crazy being super mommy. I have three wonderful teenage daughters and a toddler son that is two…(let that sink in for a moment…) In between potty training and, “so mom, there’s this boy” talks, I manage to find three minutes here and there to search for new dinner ideas or to occasionally figure out how to get rid of Nutella out of Ironman’s nose. We do what we have to do, and way more to say the least. So how do we ensure that when we go to the supermarket, we don’t make the grave mistake of buying a lettuce and not a cabbage? Easy! We have super powers!
Actually, we absolutely do not have super powers. But the demands are high and everyone, even society, is depending on us to pull through. There’s a solution for escaping this Perfect-Keep-It-Together-Super-Parent-Expectation Syndrome, and it’s coming to a theater near you July 29, 2016! The movie is called, Bad Moms and stars some of our faves like Mila Kunis (best known for her work in That 70’s Show) as Amy Mitchell, Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) as Kiki, Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers) as Carla, Annie Mumolo (Bridesmaids) as Vicky Latrobe, Jada Pinkett Smith (Set it Off, The Nutty Professor) as Stacy, and Christina Applegate (Married with Children) as Gwendolyn James.
Check out this fun movie where the ladies show us how to kick the mom-duties to the curb and retreat to some good old-fashioned misbehaving! There’s always those perfect momma’s ready to judge us for our mistakes. This movie is perfect for a girls night out. I’m super excited to escape the routine and see it! You should too! Check out this hilarious trailer:
Of course we’ll have to find a babysitter, pack the baby bag, be careful not to forget an extra change of clothes, write a list of allergies…but hey – you deserve it! Looks like it’ll be totally worth it! Parents work hard and we deserve a break, too. Sure, our family is the most important thing to us – but life is for the living! Have some fun! I can’t promise it won’t come with maybe a teeny tiny bit of guilt – you’ll be fine! You’ll be back in your cape to save the day (again) before you know because that’s just the way the Cookie crumbles!
Now it’s time to use your super mom powers and get your tickets in advance! It’s no fun to plan a movie date with the girls and the movie showing you plan to see is sold out! Bummer. Grab some tickets from a trusted movie ticket source, Fandango!
Tell us about some of your ‘Bad Mom’ moments! We love a good laugh here at Blog Xpressions. No judgement zone!
