“Iam woman, hear me R O A R!”
That’s the first thought that came to mind when I learned there was WONDER WOMAN movie coming out.
One woman with a mission to fight for what’s right – the battles, the struggles, the defeats, the wins…
Sounds like the multi-tasking of the everyday woman, right?
After the success of 2016’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, where Wonder Woman made her film debut, model and actress Gal Gadot reprises her role as the Amazonian superhero, Wonder Woman.
After watching her effortless performance in Batman vs. Superman, I felt compelled to do a little digging to find out how the Israeli actress snagged the role of such a pivotal character.
According to People, here’s how the mother of two geared up for the audition:
“That was torture,” Gadot admitted of the experience. “They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us.”
Gadot called “waiting” her “enemy Number One,” and said, “I was losing my mind.”
So how did the 31-year-old mom of two beat her nerves? With Queen Bey.
“Who runs the world? Girls!,” said Gadot, quoting Beyoncé’s “Run the World.” She added, “I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!”
That’s pretty cool, right?
That song did so much for so many women – it’s truly an aspiring song that helps to bring out the BEST in you.
Even Snapchat, whose known for their fun, funny-faced lenses, celebrated Wonder Woman on Mother’s Day! Look at me in my WW gear. Was I cute or nah?
Check out the official and final trailer to this ‘girl boss’ thriller:
Here’s a fun fact for you: Gadot actually filmed re-shoots of the movie while five months pregnant with her second child. The movie makers used a green cloth, cut in a triangle, to effortlessly cover her baby bump and used movie magic to blend her costume in with the pregnancy so the viewers wouldn’t be able to tell.
