February is one of the most anticipated months of the year! And it’s also the shortest month of the year with a lot of cool happenings:

We have Black History Month, Mardi Gras, the Superbowl, the Grammy’s…

One of the special days some of us choose to celebrate is Cupid’s Day, better known as, Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s is the special, reserved day dedicated to pulling out all the bells and whistles to show love and appreciation to the ones you adore most.

Some people only celebrate with their significant other, but I choose to celebrate my whole family. Although I love on my family everyday, I add little sprinkles of love to the mix on Valentine’s.

Glowing fact:

I got married on Valentine’s which makes the day (2/14/2012) all the more special. I celebrate my union and love everyday for my husband, but this is the day we got married, so we both try to go above and beyond. (Hey, boo, hey!)

While I am the lovey-dovey type, I am very considerate of our budget. Yes, we are worth the silver platter, plus more, but we do have to live after Valentine’s!

Let’s get to some facts:

Can you guess how much money is spent on Cupid’s Day?

A 2018 article from USA Today states:

Total spending will hit $19.6 billion, according to the survey, a dramatic increase from the $18.2 billion spent last year. The 2018 number, however, won’t quite break the record of $19.7 billion set in 2016, when the average was $146.84, for a $19.7 billion total.

Those are mind-blowing numbers even from previous years!

And, with the recent government shutdown, “ain’t nobody got time for that!”

Fellas, please get your significant other something.

If she says, “babe, you don’t have to get me anything.” It’s lies, all lies! I’m a woman, I know! Ha-ha!

If money is tight, I got you covered. Keep reading this post and I’ll share with how you can make the both of you happy, and your wallet will be saying, “thank you!”

Now, on to the juicy stuff!
